Solid Walnut End Grain Cutting Board (18" x 12" x 2") - The Reactor - Walnut Stand Included

Our solid walnut, end grain boards and walnut stand will become a main focal point in your kitchen!  Each board is meticulously crafted over a five day production process, which starts with the creation of two end grain cutting boards (one walnut, one maple).  After we have produced the two separate end grain cutting boards, the design is first carved into the dark walnut, creating a "pocket".  A reverse image of the design is precisely carved out of the light maple wood, creating a "plug" which is perfectly inlayed into the walnut. Then a bonding process ensures the two woods are permanently and seamlessly bonded together.  After curing, the maple is sanded flush with the dark walnut, revealing the design in the board.  After final sanding, the board is treated with food grade mineral oil, and then sealed with food grade bees wax.

Every board is approximately 18 inches wide, by 12 inches deep, and 2 inches thick (boards may vary approximately +/- one quarter inch in any direction).  All boards have handles carved on each side for easy lifting, and adjustable rubber feet on the bottom.  Every board is unique, as wood grain patterns and colors very, so each board will have different grain patterns and coloration than the product image.  Made by Bad Dog Wood, Made in the USA.
